My Easy Awning Printing

InDesign | Illustrator | Photoshop | Blender | fSpy

My Easy Awning came to The Print Authority to have collateral designed and printed for the new brand. The company was formed by a man working in the awning cleaning business who realized that many of the awnings installed today were not designed for easy cleaning, which promoted the conditions for the decomposition of the awning and its stitching.

This new awning design uses a pin and bracket system allowing for ease of removal for cleaning and easy installation for seasonal designs.

For this company, I designed logo options, a brochure, letterhead, and business cards

For the logo, the colors were locked in already by the web design company, and we were given images of text in the style that the client wanted. The chosen logo was the circular one designed to emulate surfing wax brands. The other two were designed to look like abstracted awnings with a laid-back feel.

The brochure was more complex. As the awning was a new patented design, stock images that were available would not be representative of the product. I had found the patents of the awnings on the US Patent office website when designing the logos, and seeing as they were largely geometric shapes, I was able to make a 3d model of the awnings to superimpose over the images using a combination of three programs. These were fSpy, Blender, and Photoshop.

The business cards were designed to match the branding of the other items. Per the client’s request, these cards were oversized (4” by 2.5”) and had holes drilled into them to create an opportunity for conversation once a potential customer asks about the purpose of the holes
